It was a great honour to facilitate a workshop for Unseen Narrative: Raising Her Voice Through Artheld in partnership with Pathfinders Hong Kong, for Migrant Domestic Workers, funded by Herfund Hong Kong on the 1/3/2026. In this workshop participants were invited to go beyond ‘making art’ and instead create visual stories of resilience, identity, and empowerment.
During the workshop the participants;
- Explored influential artworks and powerful stories of resistance that move people into real action.
- Learned how to build strong, meaningful themes within their work- centring lived experience, community struggles and hope.
- Created their own mixed-media pieces in groups, discovering shared narratives and realising that even as ‘beginners,’ their voices and visions are powerful.
- Received constructive feedback in a supportive space where every voice was heard and every perspective respected.
By the end of the workshop, participants walked away not only with new techniques, but with a deeper understanding of WHY they create: to challenge, to heal, to connect, and to empower others.
